EDI Electronic Data Interchanges Electronic Data Interchanges innovation is a confounded blend of three orders: business, information preparing and information correspondence. Incorporated with coordinations rehearses EDI can be characterized as the electronic trade of business information, for example, buy requests, solicitations, and delivery sees, ordinarily between one association and another. The relationship is ordinarily between a seller and client. EDI started during the 1970s and was first evolved by the vehicle Industry.Today is utilized in various enterprises including dispersion, fund, human services, fabricating, buying, retail, distributing, and delivering. EDI framework is in development and is adjusting to the present market circumstance. Indeed, EDI is an innovation that numerous organizations are utilizing in its coordinations rehearses in universal flexibly chain tasks. Numerous organizations pick EDI as a quick, cheap, and safe technique for sending all records ut ilized on business. Any business application that actualizes EDI works in a quick, proficient and paperless environment. The conventional report stream for buying exchanges begins with information section by the buyer to make a paper archive to send via mail to exchanging accomplices. When the exchanging accomplices get the information, they keystroke the data got into a nearby application and afterward perform more information section by entering a reaction into a neighborhood application. The resultant paper record is then sent to the buyer. The strategy is both tedious and work serious in light of the fact that information from both exchanging accomplices must be entered twice.EDI information is key in just one time, at the first purpose of passage. The information is then converted into a standard arrangement electronically and sent to the exchanging accomplice electronically. Time for transmission is exceptionally quick in contrast with postal mail. Indeed, even on a moderate mo dem association the time is extensively shorter than through the postal help. EDI Benefits â€Å"Removing superfluous procedure undertakings benefits the entire gracefully chain, permitting improved execution and cost the board. † By utilizing Electronic Data Interchange frameworks organizations have made noteworthy enhancements, advantages and savings.Over 160. 000 organizations have rolled out the improvement to electronic information trade to improve their efficiencies. At the point when an organization decreases manual work and organization lessen the proc edure working expenses. EDI is ordinarily utilized as opposed to faxing and mailing paper reports improving the productivity of conveying archives. At the point when the planning of the receipt to products conveyance is abbreviated it improves the receipt endorsement and smoothes out its installment. * Fewer blunders happen in light of the fact that PC frameworks process the archives instead of preparing by hand * Data uprightness can be made sure about over the flexibly chain since providers' data is consequently sent to clients' frameworks. Improved handling productivity expands the chance to haggle early settlement limits, lessening the cost base for clients. Business exchanges stream quicker: Faster exchanges bolster decrease in stock levels, better utilization of stockroom space, less unavailable events and lower cargo costs through less crises speeds up. EDI Barriers Standards are a fundamental piece of EDI. Each business has application records that are utilized to control th eir information in manners that are natural to the business. The issue is that most organizations however utilizing similar kinds of information don't utilize a similar application projects or equipment and programming platforms. If organizations are to have the option to convey their information to each other, they should have a shared belief to meet on to permit the trading of the data. Guidelines are the answers for this issue. All business that fits in with explicit gauges can share information in the configurations outlined by those principles. Information preparing One of the innovative fields required to actualize EDI is information handling. Information preparing permits the EDI activity to take data that is occupant in a client application and change that information into a configuration that is unmistakable to all other client applications that have an enthusiasm for utilizing the data.In the EDI condition, information preparing will deal with both active and approaching in formation. The client characterized records are the documents that are delivered by a business application. These documents could possibly be designed by the client. These are the business documents that should be converted into the ANSI X12 or EDIFACT standard arrangement. Measures The core of EDI is the report guidelines. Each business has application documents that are utilized to control their information. The issue is that most organizations, however utilizing a similar sort of information, don't utilize similar projects, programming and equipment stages. The answers for this issue are the standards. The American National Standards Institute's Accredited Standards Committee X12 (ANSI ASC X12) is the acknowledged standard for EDI exchanges in the United States. The ANSI ASC X12 board of trustees has the command to create variable-length information positions for standard business exchanges. The board of trustees was certify in 1980, and the X12 standard has been advancing from th at point forward. One of the prerequisites put on the panel was and is to keep the standard open to between industry applications. This prerequisite makes the standard more mind boggling than an industry-explicit norm, however the favorable circumstances effectively conquer the hindrance of complexity. With a solitary norm, a business has various usefulness and just needs to utilize one standard for every business work. The International Standards Organization (ISO), an association inside the United Nations, has built up the EDI standard that is utilized in Europe. The Electronic Document Interchange for Administration, Commerce, and Transportation (EDIFACT) is the UN standard that the entire world has consented to in the long run embrace. The real usage of EDIFACT inside the U. S. has been moving at an agonizingly slow clip. Everybody concurs that EDIFACT is the universal standard.Security One of the significant jobs gave by the information interchanges innovation is the capacity to apply security to EDI exchanges so the exchanges won't be messed with or watched, contingent upon the degree of security required. Classification Confidentiality necessitates that all correspondences between parties are confined to the gatherings engaged with the exchange. This secrecy is a fundamental segment in client security, just as in assurance of restrictive data and as a hindrance to robbery of data services.Confidentiality is worried about the unapproved survey of classified or exclusive information that either of the exchanging accomplices doesn't need known by others. Classification is given by encryption. Encryption is the scrambling of information so it unintelligible to anybody aside from the planned beneficiary. Encryption forestalls snoopers, programmers, and other prying eyes from survey information that is transmitted over broadcast communications channels. Information Integrity Data sent as a feature of an exchange ought not be modifiable in travel. Thus, it ough t not be conceivable to alter information in storage.Data honesty is an assurance that what was sent by the sender is really what is gotten by the collector. This is vital if there is a need to guarantee that the information has not been changed either coincidentally or vindictively. Be that as it may, confirmation plans don't conceal information from prying eyes. Giving information trustworthiness is commonly lumbering and not utilized except if one of the exchanging accomplices requires it. The typical instrument for procuring information uprightness is for the sender to run a calculation against the information that is being transmitted and to transmit the aftereffect of the calculation independently from the transmission.Upon receipt of the transmission, the beneficiary runs the indistinguishable calculation and afterward thinks about the outcomes. In the event that the outcomes are indistinguishable, at that point information has not been adjusted. Instances of EDI usage EDI fo r the Automotive Industry EDI has been being used over the car business for more than forty years. The smooth running of today’s vehicle creation lines depend on the consistent trade of business archives between the vehicle makers and their gracefully chain. JIT and Lean Manufacturing forms are integral to the smooth running of numerous creation lines the world over and EDI gives a quick and effective approach to move business archives so as to help these kinds of assembling forms. Giving perceivability of stock levels and warning of when shipments are expected to show up at the creation line are basic to making JIT and Lean assembling forms a success. The worldwide nature of t he car business implies that it is significant for vehicle producers to have the option to locally available their providers as fast as could reasonably be expected, regardless of where they might be based the world over. Numerous vehicle makers have set up an assembling nearness in for instance Eastern Europe, Brazil and China and guarantee that providers situated in these districts can trade EDI reports as easily as possible.ICT abilities across ease or developing markets are customarily low in this way the vehicle makers must guarantee that they can give easy to utilize EDI devices that permit even the littlest supp

Stress and Burnout - Free Essay Example

Running head: BURNOUT: A CHALLENGE TO THE HUMAN SERVICES Burnout: A Challenge to the Human Services Roxanne Arballo BSHS 461 – University of Phoenix ? Burnout: A Challenge to the Human Services Those who work in the Human Services field and nonprofit areas are highly vulnerable to burn out. 2010 provides larger numbers of clientele, forced human service personnel overtime work hours, on-call after hours, and other schedule and work imbalances. World population numbers are escalating as the budget for the health services is on a continual decline. Causes of burnout for the human services professional may be individual, cultural, organizational, supervisory, or from lack of social support. According to Johnson and Stone (1987), burnout â€Å"refers to a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion resulting from involvement with people in emotionally demanding situations†. Three major factors of burnout (Maslach, Jackson, Leiter, 1996) are emotional exhaustion, a feeling of low personal accomplishment with clients, and a sense of depersonalization (a dehumanizing, uncaring attitude toward clients). According to Maslach Leiter, burnout is the degree of dislocation between what people are and what they have to do. Effects of burnout might appear in the form of exhaustion, detatchment, and feelings of ineffectiveness. These results might be from the gradual process of loss during which the mismatch between the needs of the person and the demands of the job grows ever greater. Maslach and Leiter (1997) have summarized these causes into â€Å"the categories of work overload, a lack of control, insufficient rewards (from money to joy), a breakdown in community, the absence of fairness (trust, openness, and respect), and conflicting values. † Previously labeled causes of burnout included types of organization, supervision, social support, and culture. More recently, Maslach and Leiter (1997) summarized these causes into the categories of work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards (from money to joy), breakdown in community, the absence of fairness (trust, openness, and respect), and conflicting values. To prevent these various stages of burnout, included are individual, job role, and organizational methods. Some clients might be violent and jeopardize the professional’s safety. Demands for a worker’s time might prevent taking meal or rest breaks. Steps must be taken to protect them, to the degree possible, from some of the work-related stress that can lead to burnout. Cherniss (1980) suggests that a number of positive steps can be taken to lessen organizational stress and prevent burnout. These include a change in the way jobs are structured. Flextime, part-time work, job sharing, new program development, and new career options might help modify the routine patterns of the human service professional and lessen likelihood of burnout. In reference to the organization, members who share a sense of excitement, strong purpose, clear goals and objectives help create preventative measures for burnout. Use of problem-solving groups and other organizational change activities help ensure that workers are doing meaningful work (Cherniss, 1995). Also monitored are overload with impossible demands and a feeling of decision-making autonomy appropriate for human service professionals. Support, information, and some degree of structure might be needed along with feedback and an understanding of their own importance as role models. A number of factors can stand in the way of good job performance and cause well-earned productivity to decline. These can include job-related stress and personal concerns. When it becomes a concern of the organization, it affects on-the-job behavior. Employee assistance programs (EAPs) for workers experiencing such problems (Van Den Bergh, 1995) have been developed to include services like counseling and referrals as well as crisis management services. These programs enhance employee wellbeing, offer supervisor training, and create employee problem-solving task forces that are part of the EAPs used by an increasing number of organizations. One method I, as a student and human services worker, use to reduce personal and work-related stress is to spend at least 10 minutes alone each day. Whether I spend this time at home, the library, or driving in the car, this alone time seems to put me in a better mood. I find that regular exercise is another way to reduce stress and prevent burnout. I notice that the less I exercise, the higher my stress level is. I try to get outside, thank my Higher Power for everything including the hardships that might be potential for burnout, and share the success in these measures of prevention. Due to personal changes in my life, I am taking on new responsibilities and find it hard to adjust to these added tasks in my daily routine. Therefore I am working to decrease stress and possible burnout through a growing passion and thanks for my family, future career, and faith. My belief that personal struggles are ways to learn and be a power source for other human services students and professionals are certain preventative measures I do and will continue to take against the threat of burnout. Finally, long term liabilities are of cumulative nature and grows in case of delays or failure to payments in terms of fines and pena lties (smallbusiness.chron.com, 2015). Recommend criteria for recognition of a long-term liability?A long term liability is to be recognize on the basis of more than one year of payback period. The amount obtained in terms of loans or other forms is recognized in the non-current liabilities section. Justification of recognition criteria? (150)Long term liabilities cover only those non-current liabilities that are expected to be settle after one financial year from the date of issuance. Means that those outflows that are expected to incurred after the period of one year are to be recognize as long term liability. The amount in this way to use for recognition is the amount excluding the figures of current year i.e. current portion of long term liabilities. Moreover, Some of the long-term liabilities that are due within one financial year of the date of balance sheet could persist to be booked as a long-term liability provided there exist a long-term investings that is adequate and pr ohibited for the repayment of the liability, or committed and a financial arrangement that swaps the liability with a new long-term liability. Both of the specified criteria for recognition of a long term liability are applicable and useable for all type of long term liabilities. Recommend criteria for initial measurement of a long term liability?Initially a long term liability so to be measured and reported at the amount originally obtained exclusive of changes and processing fees paid in this respect. Justification of measurement criteria? (150)Initially a long term liability is recorded on cost exclusive of the amounts paid to avail the particular type of liability i.e. long term debt, finance lease and bonds etc. During the first year of availing of a long term liability the company records the liability and adds the interest or payable accrued on the liability. Particularly when a company obtains a long term debt, issues bonds or obtains a finance lease asset the company is re quired to record the inflows at cost. In case of a long term loan, the company should record the value of long-term debt by considering the present value of payments. In case of issuance of debentures,...

The Loss Of The Last Scholarship - 1908 Words

Imagine the frustration of knowing that the last scholarship is available. This is the last scholarship to the university you have dreamed of your entire life and worked so hard to achieve. That school went to someone else because of their race, ethnicity and nationality. It seems surreal doesn’t it? Every day, voiceless victims suffer from anxiety and stress over the constant fear of being criticized because they physically appear different. Can you picture yourself walking into a store and having someone follow you around, inspecting your every move and having the spiteful judgement that you’re going to steal from them? Everywhere we look, we witness people who are different. Many of us tend to focus on the differences rather than the†¦show more content†¦We have all at one point of our lives felt fear towards anyone or anything new or different. This may be natural for all humans, but it doesn’t mean it’s a good thing. Our response whether that is out of fear or ignorance can lead us into bias opinions towards others and create issues as serious as racial discrimination. For decades, the issue of racial discrimination has impacted the lives of millions of people around the world. Would you ever believe me if I told you a nine year old boy hung himself because he was bullied for being white. This boy’s name is Aaron Dugmore, and he had hung himself because of being constantly bullied by a gang of older guys for the colour of his skin. Most of your probably didn’t even know about Aaron Dugmore or the thousands of other victims being targeted by racism. We often like to fool ourselves into believing that racism is in the past, and that our society has developed into a more accepting era. Nowadays, we assure ourselves that racism is improving and don’t get me wrong, it is in its ways. I mean we can’t forget about our African American president or the dream that anyone, no matter where they come from, can achieve anything they believe in. Still, look around you. Racism still occurs through urban and suburban communities, and th is leads to racial tensions and diversity amongst others. These are the

What Is a Coup d’Etat Definition and Examples

A coup detat is the sudden, often violent overthrow of an existing government by a small group. The coup detat, also known as coup, is typically an illegal, unconstitutional seizure of power conducted by a dictator, a guerrilla military force, or an opposing political faction.   Key Takeaways: Coup d'Etat A coup detat is the illegal, often violent overthrow of an existing government or leader by a small group.Coups detat are typically conducted by aspiring dictators, military forces, or opposing political factions.Unlike revolutions, coups detat usually seek only to replace key government personnel rather than forcing sweeping changes to the country’s fundamental social and political ideology. Coup d’Etat Definition In his dataset of coups, University of Kentucky political scientist Clayton Thyne defines coups d’etat as â€Å"illegal and overt attempts by the military or other elites within the state apparatus to unseat the sitting executive.† As a key to success, groups attempting coups typically seek to gain the support of all or parts of the country’s armed forces, the police, and other military elements. Unlike revolutions, which are undertaken by large groups of people seeking sweeping social, economic, and political change, including the form of government itself, a coup seeks only to replace key government personnel. Coups rarely change a country’s fundamental social and political ideology, such as replacing a monarchy with a democracy. In one of the first modern coups, Napoleon Bonaparte overthrew the ruling French Committee of Public Safety and replaced it with the French Consulate on November 9, 1799, in the bloodless Coup of 18-19 Brumaire. More violent coups were common in Latin American nations during the 19th century and in Africa during the 1950s and 1960s as the nations gained independence.   Types of Coups d’Etat As described by political scientist Samuel P. Huntington in his 1968 book Political Order in Changing Societies, there are three generally recognized types of coups: The breakthrough coup: In this most-common type of takeover, an opposing group of civilian or military organizers overthrows the seated government and installs themselves as the nation’s new leaders. The Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, in which Russian Communists led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin overthrew the tsarist regime, is an example of a breakthrough coup. The guardian coup: Typically justified as being for the â€Å"broader good of the nation,† the guardian coup occurs when one elite group seizes power from another elite group. For example, an army general overthrows a king or president. Some consider the 2013 overthrow of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi by General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as part of the Arab Spring to have been a guardian coup. The veto coup: In a veto coup, the military steps in to prevent radical political change. The failed 2016 coup conducted by a faction of the Turkish military in an attempt to prevent what it considered Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s assault on secularism could be considered a veto coup. Recent Examples of Coups d’Etat While they have been recorded since about 876 BCE, significant coups d’etat continue to take place today. Here are four recent examples: 2011 Egyptian Coup d’Etat On Feburary 11, 2011, 30-year Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak resigned, launching the country into an era of reform. Monique Jaques / Getty Images Beginning on January 25, 2011, millions of civilians staged demonstrations demanding the overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The protestors’ grievances included police brutality, denial of political and civil liberty, high unemployment, food-price inflation, and low wages. Mubarak resigned on February 11, 2011, with power handed over to a military junta, headed by the effective head of state Mohamed Hussein Tantawi. At least 846 people were killed and over 6,000 injured in violent confrontations between protesters and Mubarak’s personal security forces. 2013 Egyptian Coup d’Etat The next Egyptian coup detat took place on July 3, 2013. A military coalition led by General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi removed recently-elected President Mohamed Morsi from power and suspended the Egyptian constitution adopted after the 2011 coup. After Morsi and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were arrested, violent confrontations between Morsi’s supporters and opponents spread across Egypt. On August 14, 2013, police and military forces massacred hundreds of pro-Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood protestors. Human Rights Watch documented 817 deaths, â€Å"one of the worlds largest killings of demonstrators in a single day in recent history.† As a result of the coup and ensuing violence, Egypt’s membership in the African Union was suspended. 2016 Turkish Coup d’Etat Attempt People shout, gestures and hold Turkish national flags as they gather in Taksim square in Istanbul, on July 18, 2016 following the military failed coup attempt of July 15.   DANIEL MIHAILESCU / Getty Images On July 15, 2016, the Turkish military attempted a coup against President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan and his Islamic secular government. Organized as the Peace at Home Council, the military faction was defeated by forces loyal to ErdoÄŸan. As reasons for the attempted coup, the Council cited an erosion of strict Islamic secularism under ErdoÄŸan, along with his elimination of democracy and human rights violations related to his oppression of the ethnic Kurdish population. Over 300 people were killed during the failed coup. In retaliation, ErdoÄŸan ordered the arrests of an estimated 77,000 people. 2019 Sudanese Coup d’Etat Sudanese supporters of the ruling Transitional Military Council (TMC) hold up a sign showing a portrait of its head General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan with a caption below reading in Arabic Al-Burhan, upon you is the trust, during a rally in the centre of the capital Khartoum on May 31, 2019.   ASHRAF SHAZLY / Getty Images On April 11, 2019, iron-fisted Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir was removed from power by a faction of the Sudanese military after nearly 30 years in office. After al-Bashirs arrest, the countrys constitution was suspended and the government was dissolved. On April 12, 2019, the day after al-Bashir’s overthrow, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan was sworn in as chairman of Sudans ruling Transitional Military Council and official head of state. Using Sip Procedures For Food Deprived Sprague Dawley Rats

Using SIP procedures in moderately-food deprived Sprague-Dawley rats, we found that adolescent males and females provided with scheduled delivery of banana pellets willingly drank notable amounts of 10% ethanol in a palatable solution (Boost ®) in short, 30 minute daily access sessions between the ages of P28 to P41. By collecting blood samples twice during the fourteen days of access, we established that this intake was often sufficient to raise BECs into the binge range ( 80mg/dl). Intake of individual animals was observed to occur in a binge-like pattern over days, typically characterized by a high consumption day followed by 1-2 days of drastically lower intake, cycling repeatedly. Such binge-like patterns were less evident in the†¦show more content†¦1b). This finding is inconsistent with prior literature, showing that SIP can be established with water only (Falk, 1961). Furthermore, in Experiment 2 where scheduled delivery was abolished, with animals receiving mass p resentation of pellets at the onset of the intake session, high consumption levels were nevertheless maintained. It is possible that the lack of schedule dependency per se may have been associated with limitations in the number of test days due to the time constraints of adolescence. Indeed, SIP with an ethanol solution is typically established in adult rats over a period of many weeks in the operant chambers, during which the concentration of ethanol is gradually raised (Falk et al., 1972). In preliminary work, we established the 14 day (P28-41) intake period, noting that consumptions declined notably as animals transitioned out of the early-mid adolescent period, an ontogenetic time course similar to what we have observed in home cage consumption studies (Vetter-O’Hagen et al., 2009). In Experiment 1b, animals given access to Boost ® without ethanol consumed on average more than twice as much fluid (ml/kg) per intake session than their ethanol-drinking counterparts in Experiment 1a. This is likely to be due to the high palatability of chocolate Boost  ® for adolescent rats, which is diminished by the combination of the bitter/sweet taste properties of

Exploring clowning techniques Essay Example For Students

Exploring clowning techniques Essay This is my account of how my group and I developed our play for our examination. The examination is on clowning so we had many lessons exploring clowning techniques. To master clowning we had to let go of our fear of looking bad. Being teenagers many of us including me found this extremely hard. We didnt have the trust in our fellow students to be sure they wouldnt go and laugh about us outside of the lesson with their group of friends. With this fear in place our work came across as a piece of realism. Once we all had banished this fear we could become clowns. Because we were taught the art of clowning was exaggerating everything to its utmost till it became grotesque. Of course doing this was going to make us look strange and abstract, which was exactly what clowning is about but my response to this as Ive already said was to be afraid of looking bad. Once we all realised we were all on the same road trip we were suddenly aware we were all able to play good clowns and all we needed to do was get the training to be clowns. So our first clowning exercise was miming a conversation with over the top body movement. I very soon came to my next obstacle I was funny but not because of my attempted clowning technique but because I looked like an Eastender character on TV where someone had muted the television. Basically I was not exaggerating enough. Our class learnt to be a successful clown we needed to exaggerate a 110%. We rapidly realised we were funny because we were grotesque. Miming of course was only to show us how exaggerated we had to be. Because we promptly went on to adding sound. It was no sound Id ever used before. It was called gobbledegook and to write it down it would look something like this bleblebkleblehgsatyeafjdsnzjsgyrewuyrueteffkrhewshibyltsft. It was and meant to be uninterruptible. If we did it properly our audience would know what emotion we were trying to put across, whether it be sad, angry, shy, excitable, or in love. When a few of the class showed us what they had done it was clear many of us were left confused at what emotion that pair were trying to show. This is where facial masks came in and also the part where I personally felt very stupid. We had to, to create a grotesque facial mask, pull back our shoulders push forward our necks and faces and make a face to suit our emotion. So if we were sad we had to pull a very sad face. With very exaggerated turn downed mouths. Ok so those people look funny I just felt stupid. Right we now had facial masks now we needed body masks. Not a trace of ourselves should be seen. Which meant totally masking our personalities. We had to show through our bodies who we were trying to be. To do this we needed to think of clown types. So we sat down as a class and discussed clown types. These are the ones we came up with: We just now needed to practice before we did the real mock exam. So we basically had a mock of a mock. We were put into groups of three or four and to do a scene with three contrasting clowns. The entire scene had to be in gobbledegook. Everything we had learnt and practiced in those previous lessons, we now had to put into our mock exam practical assessment. Our first task was to decide who we wanted to work with. We had to hand in a piece of paper into our teacher stating who we did and didnt want to work with and with good valid reasons not just because shes my friend or because I think theyre good. .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .postImageUrl , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:hover , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:visited , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:active { border:0!important; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:active , .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u5aef862fe7730b2038d838ed27838dfb:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Christmas Gifts You Love (to Hate) EssayWe had to say why we thought they were good or bad like they could maintain a certain character. With our choices Miss Grennin put us into groups. I luckily was with people who were on my list of people I wanted to work with. There was no one in my group who I didnt want to work with. Now we were in our groups we had to decide a scene we could clown and that would last at least 10-15 minutes. We decided to do a wedding scene. It needed to be funny so we had in it a male bride, a female groom, two bitchy bridesmaid sluts, an extremely rude vicar and a bloated hag of a mother in-law. We tried to sit down and do a plan but nobody could agree on anything so we decided to get up and improvise. Doing so we very quickly came up with a sketch we were all happy with. We also realised this one scene was not going to be long enough so we added a marriage proposal, a wedding reception, a funeral of the bride and an entire scene of gobbledegook between the bridesmaids in the toilets. We managed to also get in to our play stage fighting techniques and masks. When we actually were assessed I felt that we could have undoubtably done better. I felt that nerves were doing an awful lot to me and my group. We let ourselves down by missing cues and coming in late on lines. Most of that was due to lack of practice. If I had the chance to do the entire piece again I would try and cram in a lot more practice, I would be a lot more clear on what I was doing and on what my character actually was as I felt my character was a bit of a muddle as it did not have the usual clear cut exaggerated clown personality like the ones I listed above.

International Marketing Emerging Markets

Question: Discuss about the International Marketing for Emerging Markets. Answer: Introduction: The given visual advertisement is related to a fairness cream (Fair and Handsome) especially for men. According to me, the given visual advertisement is totally unethical. The company uses a false or unethical approach to conduct false advertisement and to divert the mind of people towards the product. I believe that there is not a specific fairness cream that people may use to be fair and handsome (Shevde, 2008). On the other hand, I found that the firm employs film stars to advertise and promote their product in the marketplace. It is well known that film stars have a huge fan following. In this visual advertisement, I can see that the super star Shahrukh Khan is prompting the fairness cream. The organization knows very well that the Fan following of SRK will definitely follow to their hero. This will automatically improve the profitability of the organization. The approach of this visual advertisement is totally unethical. It is because of people have a deep faith in the film star s. They think that if they will use the product then they would get good results. They would be fair and handsome like SRK. I think that the approach is totally false and unethical. Business firms are only playing with the feelings, believe, and faith of the people. The main motive of this type of organization is to make more and more profits for the growth and success of the business. They also know that there is no such cream that can make black people fair (Tellis and Ambler, 2007). Hence, the approach taken in the advertisement is unethical. According to me, the approach was used only to attract more customers to improve the profitability of the company in the marketplace. The company misrepresents its product in front of customers. The firm also knows that they will not get the desired results by using such product (Ullah and Hussain, 2016). Along with this, with the help of this false advertising approach, the firm intentionally misrepresents its product. The organization does not think that what a purchaser will get or become with such product. I am very sure that the approach was only used to improve the productivity, profitability, and market position of the firm in the marketplace. Moreover, this approach was also used to achieve competitive advantages over the competitors. The firm knows very well that people will definitely follow their heroes. I am also a buyer of such products. I personally observed that these types of products are only to misguide the people. I did not get the results that the firm tells with the help of visual advertising. I believe that the firm used this approach to target especially middle class and lower class customers. It is because of high class people are very aware about such types of products. They will never purchase these products (AJAY, 2014). For this reason, I can say that, this fake or unethical approach was only used to play with the faith of the people. The key objective behind the use of this approach is to improve the productivity and profitability of the firm in an unethical manner. No, the visual has not accurately represented the truth. There are numerous reasons behind this. For example, the major reason behind it is that this visual advertising is totally related to the misrepresentation of product. The misrepresentation strategy of business firms is immoral and unacceptable. In todays advance technological era, these types of strategies do not have any importance for the people and society (Allen and Stevens, 2010). Along with this, the second reason is that, the firm used film stars to promote its products. People are very much aware about the life styles of the super stars. They know all the facts about their heroes. Moreover, people also know that the film stars who promote and advertise product do not use such products. They follow diet plans and also take therapies or treatments to look young, fair and handsome at any stage of their lives. In addition to this, the other reason is that, the visual advertising is a major type of false advertising. It onl y spreads fake information to misguide the people. Most of the business organizations use visual advertising only to earn high profits in the marketplace. This type of advertising plays a major role in order to create visual trickery in the mind of customers (Zahrdka and Sedlkov, 2013). For this reason, it can be assumed that, the visual has not accurately represented the truth about the product. The visual advertising stands for the misrepresentation of the product or service in the market. I will use effective advertising appeals to sell this product or service in order to make the persuasive appeal ethical. For example, rational, sex, humor, fear, bandwagon propaganda and so on are the advertising appeals that play a major role to make the persuasive appeal ethical. First of all, I will focus on the rational appeal of advertising. The major reason behind it is that the rational appeal focuses on the need of consumers for realism and pragmatism of a product. If the product will be according the needs of the customers then they will definitely show their interests in the purchase of the product (Zou and Fu, 2011). Moreover, the rational approach would be able to present the exact features of products in front of customers. The rational approach would be helpful to describe the major benefits that are linked with the purchase of a particular product. This approach is also beneficial to provide proofs or evidences of the results. If people do not get the results then they may raise claim against the company. Along with this, I will also use fear appeal to show the negative outcomes of the product. For example, with the help of this, I will recommend that this product is only for normal skin people. It is not for the dry and oily skin people (Estelami, 2009). In this way, with the help of these advertising appeals, I would be able to sell this product/service differently and would also make the persuasive appeal ethical. References AJAY, V. (2014). Microwave Oven Effects On Wireless Lans Essays - Wireless Networking

Microwave Oven Effects On Wireless Lans Microwave Oven Interference on Wireless LANs Operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM Band Abstract - Commercial microwave ovens as applied in restaurants have two magnetron tubes and compared to domestic kitchen counterparts they spread the higher RF power and radiated heating energy more evenly. The domestic kitchen or residential microwave ovens have only one magnetron tube. The interference from the commercial type of microwave ovens is more difficult to characterise than the interference from the residential ones. The commercial type of microwave ovens radiate a CW-like interference that sweeps over tens of MHz during the two bursts per mains power cycle. The residential ones give a CW-like interference that has a more or less stable frequency near 2.45 GHz occurring once per mains power cycle. The impact of the interference from the commercial type of microwave ovens on wireless LANs conforming the IEEE 802.11 standard for both DSSS (direct sequence spread spectrum) and FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) has been evaluated. I. INTRODUCTION The release of the 2.4 GHz unlicensed band (2400 -2483.5 MHz) for ISM (industrial, scientific, medical applications) prompted a significant interest in the design of wireless LAN products. Interference from extraneous sources (unintentional radiators) impacts the reliability of communication in this 2.4 GHz ISM band. Sources of such interference are the millions of residential microwave ovens radiating at frequencies close to 2.45 GHz, and they have been described largely in the literature. Commercial microwave ovens, based on two magnetron tubes as used in restaurants, have been hardly described in the literature. Since commercial ovens are expected more often in the vicinity of office buildings with a high population density of office equipment and PCs, this type has been evaluated with respect to the nature of the interference signal and the impact on wireless LANs operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. At first, published material on residential microwave ovens, the reports from the NTIA (National Telecommunications and Information Administration, in the US) - [1] and [2] - are discussed. Next, the commercial microwave ovens and the nature of their interference is considered. The characterization of the interference from such ovens requires a dedicated measurement set up. Then the robustness of wireless LANs based on DSSS and FHSS conformant to IEEE 802.11 against CW interference is discussed. At last, the interference from the commercial microwave ovens on wireless LANs based on DSSS and FHSS is measured with a dedicated set up and the impact of the interference nature is considered. II. NTIA REPORTS The NTIA makes [1] and [2] some pessimistic conclusions about the possibility of sustaining highly-reliable communication links in this band. The ubiquitousness of these ovens and the wideband interference picture that emerges from peak-power measurements using, for example, conventional spectrum analysers in max-hold mode and multiple sweeps, has led to these pessimistic conclusions. The NTIA describes measurement results for residential microwave ovens with a maximum EIRP for these radiators that lies lay between +16 and +33 dBm. Some shortcomings in the NTIA measurement methods are presented in [3]. The NTIA reports give results of frequency- and time-domain measurements. Spectrum analysers in max-hold mode were used to measure in the frequency domain, which resulted in traces that capture the peak emission, at each frequency sampling point, occurring during the time interval of observation. Spectrum analysers in zero-span trace mode were used to find how the signal power around the selected frequency varies over time. [3] mentions that the NTIA peak spectrum measurements and frequency-domain characterisation with time-domain plots show a pulsed III. RESIDENTIAL MICROWAVE OVENS Microwave ovens have become more popular over the last fifteen years and can be found in over two hundred million home kitchens. The heating source of these residential microwave ovens is based on a single magnetron tube mostly positioned in an upper corner. Without further provisions, such an oven would produce an uneven heating effect, because of static stable standing wave patterns inside the cavity of the oven. Therefore, the usage of a rotating disk results in such a heating process at which the different sides of the rotated food or drink are ?illuminated? more evenly. The power consumption is mostly in the 600 - 800 Watt range. 2445 MHz 2452 MHz 2459 MHz 2466 MHz # RES BW 10 kHz # VBW 10 kHz # SWP 15.0 sec Peak 10 dB/div 2.41 GHz 2.48 GHz Frequency Fig. 1. Science Explains Why You Lose Water Weight

Science Explains Why You Lose Water Weight New dieters, especially if theyre eating a low carb diet, see a dramatic initial weight loss ranging from four to 12 pounds in the first week. The initial loss is exciting, but it quickly slows to one or two pounds per week. Youve probably heard this early weight loss is water weight, rather than  fat. Where does water weight come from and why does it drop before fat? Heres the scientific explanation. Key Takeaways: Water Weight Loss On a low carbohydrate diet, the body turns to glycogen as an energy source after it expends glucose. Quick water weight loss occurs when metabolizing glycogen because the process requires water.Eating or drinking excess electrolytes can lead to water retention because the body keeps the water to maintain a set electrolyte balance as part of homeostasis.Dehydration can also lead to water retention. In this situation, the body acts to conserve water when its not being replenished. The Source of Water Weight The early weight loss from a diet can be partly fat, especially if youre exercising and reducing calories, but if youre using more energy than youre replacing as food and drink, the first weight youll lose will be water. Why? Its because the energy source your body turns to once it runs out of its relatively small store of carbohydrates (sugars) is glycogen. Glycogen is a large molecule made up of a protein core surrounded by glucose subunits. Its  stored in the liver and muscles for use during energy-intensive activities, like running away from danger and supporting the brain when food is scarce. Glycogen can be quickly metabolized to meet the bodys need for glucose, but each gram of glycogen is bound to three to four grams of water. So, if you use up your bodys glycogen stores (as when dieting or with prolonged exercising), a lot of water is released over a short amount of time. It only takes a few days of dieting for glycogen to be expended, so the initial weight loss is dramatic. Loss of water can lead to loss of inches. However, as soon as you eat enough carbohydrates (sugars or starches), your body readily replaces its glycogen stores. This is one reason people often see an initial weight gain immediately after going off a diet, particularly if it was one that restricted carbohydrates. Its not the fat coming back, but you can expect all the water you lost the first couple of days of a diet to return. Other Causes of Water Weight Changes There are many biochemical reactions in the body that affect how much water is stored or released. Natural hormonal fluctuations can have a big impact on water storage. Since the body maintains stable electrolyte levels, losing too much of an electrolyte can leave you dehydrated, while too high of intake can cause you to retain water. Diuretics are chemicals that prompt the release of water. Natural diuretics include any stimulant, such as coffee or tea. These chemicals temporarily alter the natural set point for water retention, causing slight dehydration. Alcohol also acts as a diuretic, potentially causing much greater dehydration because additional water is used to metabolize ethanol. Eating too much sodium (as from salt)  leads to water retention because water is needed to dilute the high level of the electrolyte. Low potassium, another electrolyte, can also cause fluid retention because potassium is used in the mechanism that releases water. Many medications also affect water homeostasis, potentially leading to water weight gain or loss. So do some supplements. For example, dandelion and stinging nettle are natural diuretic herbs. Because water is used for thermoregulation, heavy perspiration, whether it be from exertion or sweating in a sauna, can produce temporary weight loss from dehydration. This weight is immediately replaced after drinking water or other beverages or eating foods that contain water. A surprising cause of water retention is mild dehydration. Because water is critical to so many processes, when its not being replenished at a fast enough rate, conservation mechanisms kick in. Water weight wont be lost until adequate water is being consumed and normal hydration is achieved. After that point, research indicates drinking more water doesnt aid weight loss. Nutrition expert Beth Kitchen (the University of Alabama at Birmingham) conducted research that concluding drinking more water does burn a few more calories, but it wasnt a significant number. Her research also indicated drinking ice-cold water as opposed to room temperature water resulting in an insignificant difference in calories burned and weight lost.

Argument Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 4

Argument - Essay Example He talks about how one cannot be detached from Zen and think about it in a rational or detached manner. It is a way of being in the world. As an example of this, Highlet talks about a Zen Master teaching a pupil archery. A Zen master who was a teacher of archery agreed to take him as a pupil. The lessons lasted six years, during which he practiced every single day. There are many difficult courses of instruction in the world: the Jesuits, violin virtuosi, Talmudic scholars, all have long and hard training, which in one sense never comes to an end; but Herrigel’s training in archery equaled them all in intensity. If I were trying to learn archery, I should expect to begin by looking at a target and shooting arrows at it. He was not even allowed to aim at a target for the first four years. He had to begin by learning how to hold the bow and arrow, and then how to release the arrow; this took ages. The Japanese bow is not like our sporting bow, and the stance of the archer in japan is different from ours (Highlet). For Highlet, this helps illustrate his opinion that Zen is actually a religion. I strongly disagree with Highlet about this. This story may not be true: it is more of an anecdote which shows us that we need to reflect more on our position in the world than our immediate goals. This is more of a philosophical issue than a religious one. Highlet is wrong about this. Religion and philosophy are too different things. Religion is a systematic and ordered thing which has its special doctrines. Philosophy is a series of approaches to various problems. Highlet tries to make an argument that Zen is a religion but it is simply not ordered enough. His conclusion does not stand. He leads us through a number of anecdotes. But the sum of a series of anecdotes is not a religion. It is a series of ways of looking at problems—more of a philosophy. Highlet is an interesting writer and Zen is a strange

Marketing plan Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words

Marketing plan - Research Paper Example UAE hold a population that is among the top earners and top spenders on grooming in the world. It has the largest cosmetics and grooming market among the Gulf countries and men’s grooming has transformed from a niche market to an unavoidable business segment in the past 10 years and holds further growth in the next 5 years. While the prime driver of men’s grooming market is shaving products, research suggests that skin care and hair care for men are expect to grow big in the near future. The male grooming products market of the UAE is currently a $56.16 million (208 million UAE Dirhams) business, which is expected to grow to $84 million by 2018. As per the official 2010 estimate, the UAE male population of 6,161,820 outnumbers the female population of 2,102,250 by almost 3:1. Among the male population, 92% consists of expatriates, mostly young people from emerging countries like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, who today are no longer stereotyped as blue-colla red workers. In fact, Asian expatriates make up 44.6% of the total number of entrepreneurs in the UAE and of late, the pay rate differences between Asian and western expatriates are reportedly diminishing. In fact, Asian expatriates contribute about 63% of total consumer expenditure of the UAE The lucrative men’s grooming market is currently dominated by large multinationals such as L’Oreal, Nivea and Unilever. However, the market has so far gone largely untapped as these organisations operate by importing and selling their products through regional branches. Evidently, even in its current status, there is a huge business potential in men’s grooming in UAE. This report discusses the marketing plan of Arome de l'Emir, a proposed business that wishes to provide world-class hair care, skin care, shaving kits and fragrance products primarily to the young Asian male expatriates of the UAE. Thesis Essay Example for Free

Thesis Essay As technology continues to advance, computers are becoming more part of everyday life. Computers are everywhere at work, at school, and at home . Daily activities either involve the use of or depend on information from a computer. This maybe because computers are used in almost every field and profession like education and office works to perform large number of computer application . It is also the best solution for providing information and a way of communications in every individual and gives better understanding of some event s that can arouse the interest of some particular subject matter. The computerized world is a highly efficient one. The extensive records will not be a problem to a post industrialized society, likewise the unreliable and slow processing and preparing student record and enrollment summary of report. At Lord Immanuel Institute Foundation Inc. (FIILI) there are hundred students taking several year levels. The populations of the student in mentioned School are continued to grow which means also that an increase of records are handled by the Guidance Councilor. Clearly the manual system of enrollment and student record keeping are too much time consuming task. Computer can be considered as another instrument for developing a system like enrollment in every school. This can be a great help to those students, teachers and school who are handling many task from providing easier and faster access. Background of the Study LIIFI HISTORY. The Lobo International Institute Foundation, Inc. (LIIFI) was a non-profit, non-stock Foundation registered under SEC Registry NO. A2001112151, approved on August 15, 2001 it was conceived in God’s heart through the leadership of Rev. Paul K. Yoo and Dr. Elizabeth Z. Yoo despite of difficulties and trials during the period of conception. It has open evangelistic enrollment. The LIIFI started its operation June, 2002 for the school year 2002-2003 under government Permit No. 040, series of 2002, issued on June 20, 2002. On April 2, 2004, The Lobo International Institute Foundation, Inc. was finally recognized by the government under Government Recognition (R-IVA) No. 053 series of 2004 for the complete secondary course effective as of school year 2003-2004. The founders were under undue pressure to start the school in a short period of time allotted to them as there was a serious threat to land-grab the mission-owned property usually by a group who wanted to use the property for a for-profit school. During first three and a half years, the LIIFI was involved in a legal struggle for survival. Due to this strategic planning was set aside. All legal cases were settled in favor of LIIFI. â€Å"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ and through us diffuse the fragrance of His knowledge in every place† (2 Corinthians 2:14). On October 18, 2011, the Office of the Regional Director of the Philippines Department of Education send a memorandum to the school with the following subject: â€Å"Private Schools Bearing â€Å"Foreign†/†International† in their Names† and mandated a name change: remove â€Å"international† but retain â€Å"foundation†. The school is in the process of changing its name to Lord Immanuel Institute Foundation, Inc. and will retain the LIIFI as an abbreviation. LIIFI VISION STATEMENT: From the LIIFI will come graduates who love God with all their heart, all their soul, all their mind, all their strength, and who will be part of the great army of the living God equipped by Him, as disciple-makers, in all areas of life to boldly extend His Kingdom with love to the end of the earth, to the end of the age, to the praise of His glory. â€Å"Then the Lord answered me and said; â€Å"Write the vision And make it plain on the tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will surely come, it will not tarry. † Habakkuk 2:2-3 LIIFI MISSION STATEMENT: A Christ-centered, disciple-making community empowered only by the Holy Spirit, the Lord Immanuel Institute Foundation, Inc. (LIIFI) seeks to fulfill the Great Commission through its students, staff, alumni and their families. Company’s Current Situation Computer as part of the innovation in technology manifests bigger changes in world, economies, banks and other manufacturing centers flourished due to the catching power of computers in the field of education, not all school can afford to have numbers of computer to update the school manual system, which somehow caused a lot of inaccuracy and inefficiency in the data processing records, rules and regulations, profiles, and programs. The present system of Lord Immanuel Institute Foundation Inc. is done manually such as the enrollment system and record keeping. From the time it was started to operate, they use the old system, the manual Enrollment system. Even nowadays, that they have computers, still they use it for proration of memos and letters. Purpose of the Study Today, innovations are based on computer-based technology and these are spreading globally. With the use of computer based technology, new knowledge-oriented learning styles are being prevailed to the people. Lord Immanuel Institute Foundation Inc. has been developing new effective ways on how to minimize time consume of enrolment .
